Hearing of this TV show really excited me but at the same time i had that apprehension of it falling short of expectations or deviating from the book. I must say the first episode dispelled all such apprehensions. The TV show remains fairly faithful to the book (as per my memory at least) and Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday is near perfect.
